Develop as we lead
Your loyalty and dedication is our honour
Jack Welsh, former CEO of general Electric, said, “good business leaders create a vision, articulate a vision, passionately own the vision and relentlessly drive it to completion”. It is in that spirit, that the leadership of AWCA believes in concept of magnanimity and as result, the President’s Ambassador Program was launched in 2011, to identify and reward members who are committed, dedicated and passionate, about AWCA activites and programs.
Leadership qualities requires that one have humility (“for members to recognise that one is no better than the other when working in team; and that CA status does make anyone of them God”); dedication (“members to be dedicated towards achieving the vision of AWCA”), openness (“members to be able to listen to new ideas from one another and also board members to listen, to build respect and trust”). That is the reason, Ambassador program is important as it develops member’s leadership skills for the future and is in line with motto of AWCA ‘develop as we lead”
These type of members voluntary and tirelessly dedicate their times into subcommittees and in other ways, and ensures that strategic programs of AWCA are implemented; provides ideas, initiatives into AWCA, assists in raising funding, assist in the recruitment drives, attends functions and assists in registrations and selling of raffle tickets, assist in mentoring students at universities.
The three pillars of the scheme are as follows:
• Participation
• Monitoring
• Reward
