Bursary Fund

AWCA’s primary objectives include increasing the number of African women chartered accountants entering the field.  This goal is being achieved by providing financial assistance to deserving candidates who do not have the means to cover the costs of study.  The AWCA bursary fund was started in 2006 using proceeds gathered through the annual Woman of Substance event.  In 2008 AWCA began administration of the Vodacom bursary fund and went on to administer the Vodacom Bursary Fund in 2009
