Identify Young Girls:


School Visits

Structured school visits are done in conjunction with ABASA. Members are encouraged to visit the schools, engage with the learners about the accounting profession.

Schools visited in 2010 and 2011 were Thandokhulu Secondary, Cravenby Secondary and Woodlands Secondary                            

Nurture and Train:

Power Teas

In 2010 the first power tea was held at JC Le Roux Wine estate in Stellenbosch .The event was sponsored by Quartile Capital and Distell sponsored the venue and drinks.
The Second Power Tea was hosted by Woolworths at their head office.

FQE Celebrations

The FQE dinner was held to congratulate the young ladies who successfully passed Part II of the Qualifying Board exams, the event was sponsored by standard bank.

Sundowners

In 2011 numerous sessions will be hosted by the experienced professionals, with the intention to motivate the trainee accountants and the recently qualified CA’s

Career Conference

The career conference is a great opportunity for trainees completing articles to gain information on the career options available within the industry and meet with prospective employers. In 2010 the conference was held at Alan Gray, they sponsored the event. Speakers who encouraged the participants were Desiree Mkhonza from Alan Gray, Brendan Africa from Deloitte, Lindiwe Bakoro from Bakoro Capital and Stuart Brown from Inteprid.

Leadership Development

Out To Lunches

These are events hosted by experienced women who are pioneers in their fields. In 2010 Prescient Securities, Ms Cheree Dyers, Barbara Makhubedu from Shell and Cindy Hess from Sea harvest hosted the lunches.
