The Database section of the website intends to capture all the details of all the African Women CA’s in South Africa. This database needs to tell us about who they are, when they qualified, where they work, their previous work experience and their board membership. The contact details of the members who are on the database will not be viewed by anyone other than AWCA back office. This is to protect the members’s privacy and accessibility to the public. AWCA will use the contact details to be in touch with the members on any matters that might be of benefit to them which include:-

Communication of available Board positions on Listed Companies and SOE’s to meet our vision of enabling Black female Chartered Accountants to occupy 25% of board positions of listed companies and 50% of State Owned Entities (“SOEs”) by 2015.
Communication of available executive positions on Listed Companies and SOE’s to meet our vision of enabling Black female Chartered Accountants to occupy 10% of listed companies and 15% of SOEs ‘ Executive management ‘ by 2015
Invitations to the following AWCA functions:-
“Round Table Discussions” for members of the profession to engage in constructive debates on relevant world issues. The events, held quarterly, also provide a platform to create solutions and input into topical issues with various prominent and successful business leaders of our country;
“Sponsored Mentorship Power Teas” with various leaders to enhance Thought Leadership and amongst members. AWCA Power Teas serve to groom and grow young accounting professionals and future business leaders.
“Panel Discussions” with a variety of women leaders to enhance our member’s strategic leadership capabilities
AWCA cocktails to “Celebrate Success” of black professionals in both the public and the private sector and to also celebrate the emergence of black captains of industries
“Out to Lunch” which raises and maintains the profile of the forum with key decision makers and to tap into their leadership insights and lessons for success.
“Woman of Substance”, an event that honours and recognises South Africa’s most exceptional women achievers. The award is held in a banquet style and is an annual flagship event, launched in 2005, where a carefully chosen woman is honoured and presented with the award of ‘AWCA Woman of Substance’.
“FQE Celebrations” which creates a platform for welcoming newly qualified Women CA’s in South Africa.
